Dashboard

The dashboard is your start page. Build custom views with widgets from the widget library, arrange them freely, and save multiple layouts for different workflows. Layouts can stay personal, and users with Workspace settings management access can share Workspace layouts with everyone.

Setup alerts

  • Above the widget grid, the dashboard can show alerts that need attention before normal work.
  • Pending Workspace invitations can be accepted or declined directly from the dashboard.
  • Required internal forms assigned to you appear here with the form title and optional due date. Opening the alert takes you to the form.
  • If your profile still misses required name fields, the alert links to Settings → Account.
  • For admins in Workspaces with organizations and billing-related features enabled, another alert can point to a missing or incomplete issuer organization and open the relevant organization record.

Enter edit mode

  1. Click Customize dashboard in the header.
  2. The dashboard enters edit mode where widgets can be moved, resized, or removed.
  3. Click Save to persist your changes, or Cancel to discard.

Add widgets from the widget library

  1. In edit mode, click Add widget.
  2. A sheet opens with a search field and the available widgets grouped by category.
  3. Search by title, description, category, or tag, or scroll the category sections. Widget cards show a preview, tags, default size, and whether the widget is already added.
  4. Click an available widget card to add it to your dashboard. Cards already in the current layout are disabled.
  5. The widget appears at the bottom of your layout; drag it to your preferred position.

Resize and arrange widgets

  • Drag widgets by their header to reposition them on the grid.
  • Resize widgets by dragging their bottom-right corner.
  • The layout is responsive: each breakpoint (desktop, tablet, mobile) stores its own arrangement. Resize your browser to configure smaller screens.
  • Widgets snap to a grid for consistent alignment.

Remove widgets

  • In edit mode, click the X button on any widget to remove it.
  • Removed widgets can be re-added later from the widget library.

Save, duplicate, and switch layouts

  • Save: Persists the current arrangement to your account.
  • Duplicate: Creates a copy of the current layout as a new saved layout.
  • Switch layouts: Click the layout dropdown in the header to choose a different saved layout.
  • Share with Workspace: Users with Workspace settings management access can make a layout available to everyone in the Workspace. Shared layouts use the globe icon; users with that access and the creator can edit them.
  • Set as default: Use the star in the layout dropdown to mark a personal default for yourself. Users with Workspace settings management access can star a Workspace layout to make it the fallback layout and the layout assigned to new members who do not already have one.
  • Delete layouts: Remove layouts you no longer need from the layout dropdown.

Use multiple layouts for different contexts, e.g., one for daily operations, another for weekly reviews.

Workspace assignment

  • Users with Workspace settings management access can use Workspace Settings -> Dashboards to assign shared layouts to all active account-backed members, selected roles, or selected members. Members without accounts are excluded because they have no personal dashboard.
  • Inactive shared layouts are shown in the selector too. Assigning one, or setting it as the Workspace default, activates that layout.
  • Assigning a layout changes the targeted members' active dashboard. The optional cleanup setting removes their personal dashboards in the current Workspace.
  • The management table shows each account-backed member's current dashboard and saved personal dashboards. Users with Workspace settings management access can assign a shared layout directly to one member or delete a member-owned dashboard from that table.

Some widgets are role-restricted (e.g., Total users is admin-only). Statistic widgets for users, festivals, projects, contacts, work orders, and invoice totals require unrestricted read access to their underlying records. If your role has conditional read access, the widget shows an em dash instead of a potentially misleading partial total. The Festivals widget can switch between all, active, and archived festivals. Finance widgets also depend on the matching enabled features and data. For example, Reconciliation Warnings needs invoice and bank-transaction data, while Financial Entries and Expense Breakdown appear with the Financial Entries feature. The Create Task and Create Work Time quick action widgets open the matching creation dialogs from the dashboard. They appear only when the related feature is enabled and the user's role can create that record, and the buttons are disabled while editing the dashboard layout. The Open Invoices widget lists invoices that are not paid or cancelled, sorted by the nearest due date. Each row shows the original gross amount, status, customer or project context, and due-date state. If an invoice uses another currency, the row also shows the Workspace-currency amount once conversion is available; otherwise it shows whether conversion is still running or the exchange rate is unavailable. The header total includes only amounts known in the Workspace currency. The Revenue by Customer widget counts only paid outgoing invoices. Its year selector lists years that contain dated paid invoices, and All years includes every paid invoice, including paid invoices without an invoice date. The Recent Activity widget combines a Workspace tab with a Mine tab so you can switch between Workspace-wide activity and entries relevant to your own account. The CMS widget combines latest CMS activity with draft records. You can open the CMS from the widget, open records from the list, and publish draft records directly when you are not editing the dashboard layout. The Website Analytics widget appears when Analytics is enabled and the role can read it. Select an active analytics-enabled website and the last 7, 30, or 90 days; the widget shows visitors, pageviews, active-now traffic, changes from the preceding period, and a selectable visitor or pageview trend. It refreshes while the dashboard is visible, and the open button goes to the full website report. When no eligible website exists, the widget links to Websites for setup. The Shipment tracking widget appears when Shipment Tracking is enabled and the role can read it. It shows open shipments, shipments delivered in the last seven days, and up to eight open or recently delivered records with vendor or manual-shipment label, carrier, tracking code, shipment status, progress, and the most relevant order or delivery date. The Work Time Confirmations widget appears when Work Times are enabled and the role can read and update work times. It shows pending manager/admin confirmations, opens Pending Confirmations, and can approve or decline entries inline when manager confirmations are enabled. The Weekly Work Times widget appears when Work Times are enabled and the role can read work times. It shows a Monday-Sunday week, total duration, daily totals, entry cards with status coloring, and previous/next week controls. Users with limited read access see only readable entries; users with broader access also see the number of people represented. The Group Worked Hours widget appears when Groups and Work Times are enabled and the role can read both. It charts worked hours by group for the selected month, year, or all time. The Group Salary Cost widget appears when Groups and Salary are enabled and the role can read both. It charts final locked salary-cost amounts separately from provisional open amounts, supports an employer filter including unknown employer, and flags skipped entries when their wage currency differs from the Workspace currency. The Quick Notes widget stores pasted text or links without leaving the dashboard. Notes start private and can be shared with the Workspace by their creator. Page actions appear only when Pages are enabled and the user's role can create or read them; link notes can be added to projects only when Projects are enabled and the role can update the project. On desktop, the bottom Recent updates bar shows the newest status message or tracked activity. Open it to review recent status toasts and activity entries; entries with routes open the related record or feature.

Best practices

  • Start with a few key widgets and add more as needed.
  • Place frequently checked widgets (e.g., My open tasks) near the top.
  • Create separate layouts for different roles or focus areas.
  • Review and clean up unused layouts periodically.
