Invitations

When someone invites you to join a Workspace, you receive an invitation that you can accept or decline. Invitation links guide new and existing users into the correct Workspace membership flow.

View pending invitations

  • Signed-in users review pending invitations in Settings -> My Memberships.
  • The invitation dialog opens automatically on the dashboard for pending invitations that you have not dismissed in the current browser session. It shows the Workspace, assigned role, inviter when available, and how many more invitations are waiting.
  • Closing the dialog with the close button, Escape, or the backdrop snoozes every invitation currently shown until the browser session ends. They remain available in My Memberships.
  • Opening a matching invitation link while signed in brings the dashboard invitation dialog back into focus, even after it was snoozed. Links that need account or email verification continue in My Memberships.

Accept an invitation

  1. Open the invitation from email, the dashboard dialog, or My Memberships.
  2. If you already have an account, sign in and accept the invitation from the dialog or My Memberships. When the invitation page offers Send sign-in code, you can use the 6-digit code sent to the invited address instead of entering your password; you can resend it from the code step. Accounts for which code sign-in is not available continue through normal sign-in.
  3. If you create a new account from the invitation flow with the invited email address, the Workspace is added to your memberships after sign-in.
  4. Existing accounts can accept invitations sent to the primary email address or any verified alias. If the invited address is not verified on the signed-in account yet, Einblick asks you to verify it with a code before accepting.
  5. If the invitation belongs to an address you want to keep on a separate account, sign out and continue from the invitation link with that account instead.
  6. If the inviter selected a group, accepting also adds you to that group in the Workspace.
  7. If the Workspace already has a member without an account at the invited contact address, acceptance adds your account to that existing member. Employments, assignments, work times, timesheets, and other history stay linked.
  8. Once accepted, Einblick switches to the joined Workspace immediately. It remains available in your Workspace switcher.
  9. If the Workspace has reached its active-member limit, acceptance is blocked until an admin increases the limit or frees a seat.

Decline an invitation

  • Click Decline in the dashboard dialog or My Memberships if you do not want to join the Workspace, then confirm the decision.
  • Declined invitations disappear from your pending list.
  • The inviter can be notified that the invitation was declined.
  • Invitation emails contain a direct link to the Workspace invitation.
  • Existing users are prompted to sign in before reviewing the invitation.
  • New users can register from the invitation flow with the invited email address prefilled.
  • Invitations for a dedicated Tenant App continue in that app's own invitation flow instead of the Einblick Workspace shell.
  • Invitation links only work for pending, unexpired invitations.

Multiple Workspaces

  • You can be a member of multiple Workspaces simultaneously.
  • Switch between Workspaces using the Workspace switcher.
  • Each Workspace has its own data, settings, and team members.

Best practices

  • Accept invitations promptly so the correct Workspace appears in your switcher.
  • Verify the Workspace name before accepting to make sure the invitation is expected.
  • Decline invitations you do not recognize.
