Notification Defaults define the starting notification channels for workspace-scoped events.

What this page controls

  • Admins can set default channels per event key.
  • Users inherit these defaults for workspace-scoped events in their own notification settings.
  • Users can override non-enforced workspace events in their personal settings.
  • Enforced events stay enabled even if a user would otherwise disable them.
  • Account-scoped events such as chat.message, call.incoming, daily_digest, auth.new_login, auth.security, tenant.invitation, calendar sync, and device handoff are controlled from personal notification settings instead of workspace defaults.
